Good Morning, Good Morning, Good Morning
I'm an early riser.
It has taken me a very long time to grasp the fact that not everyone is an early bird. Not everyone wants the worm.
I thought for many years I was a blessing incarnate to my children when I woke them with my cheery, personally composed song: "Good morning, good morning, good morning, it's time to rise and shine."
Not so. They actually found it annoying.
The morning hours, before anyone else wakes up, are the best. I drink strong coffee, think, read, write, and have the world all to myself.
When I was young, we took vacations at a lake every summer. My dad and I would go out fishing at the crack of dawn, while everyone else snored on. It was a special time, as my dad was pretty much in demand once everyone woke up.
Early morning is the best time of day as far as I'm concerned, and especially on Christmas Day!
